| SchoolCity SPELL (SchoolCity
Plan For English Language Learners) is a web-based application that
helps in estimating AMAO #1 and AMAO #2. It also helps generate
redesignation reports based on state and district criteria.
Educators involved in promoting high achievement
of English Language Learners (ELLs) have actively felt the need
for a program that allows monitoring and analysis of ELLs to support
a school district’s systemic effort that emphasizes high academic
standards and reclassification of ELLs. SPELL (School Plan for English
Language Learners) is a powerful new product designed specifically
to meet these needs.
SPELL is a web distributed application that uses
CELDT and STAR data to produce:
- Title III mandated AMAO #1 and AMAO #2 reports for school districts.
SPELL provides the added advantage of:
- Producing AMAO #1 and AMAO #2 reports at
not only the disctrict level, but also the school and grade
level helping LEAs identify problem areas
- Producing detailed student level AMAO #1
and AMAO #2 reports with clear indication of how each student
has performed.
- Providing the ability to filter these reports
by demographic parameters like home language, and by other
parameters like number of years in district or US schools.
- Detailed student level reclassification reports based on state
and local district criteria.
- SPELL Analysis reports that help identify students who are not
meeting one or more of the reclassification criteria using a powerful
built-in SPELL Analyzer.
The product can be implemented
as a stand alone application or as an add-on to SChoolCity
STARS.
